The fire lord was not a coward he was not weak nor afraid but for the better of the world he had to do what he had to do, people wanted him dead for want he done for what he was. it was all to much and it had to be done.
He had to take his run from life his horrible past life, he did not do it out of fear, but for his family for his kids, for the world.
